Slovenia's unemployment rate lowest in six years

The survey unemployment rate in Slovenia in 2016 went down to 8 percent, Slovenia's National Statistics Office said on Monday.

This marks a one percentage point decrease from 2015 and the lowest rate since 2010 when it was 7.3 percent.

In the working population, 744,000 or 81.3 percent were in employment, a 2.4 percent rise on 2015, the Slovenian Press Agency reported.

Some 31,000 people were through student agencies in 2016, figures showed. Endit
