German benchmark DAX index closes flat Friday

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Friday closed almost flat, down only 5.83 points, or 0.05 percent, and closing at 12,225.06 points.

German airline Lufthansa lost the most among the blue chips, with a share price drop of 2.17 percent, followed by financial services providers Deutsche Bank and Commerzbannk, which lost 0.96 percent and 0.93 percent respectively.

HeidelbergCement, adidas, and E.ON were the top three winners on Friday, with gains in shares of 1.13 percent, 0.96 percent and 0.52 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 229.18 million euros (243.62 million U.S. dollars). Endit
