Xinhua, April 7, 2017 Adjust font size:

The prevalence of depressive disorder in China is 3.59 percent, according to official data released Friday.

The prevalence of mood disorders stood at 4.06 percent, and the country has seen a rise in people suffering from depression and anxiety, the National Health and Family Planning Commission said.

By the end of 2015, there were nearly 3,000 mental health service agencies and over 27,700 psychiatrists nationwide, said the commission.

Earlier this year, China issued a guideline on mental health services, calling for improved efforts for the prevention and treatment of mental illnesses. Endi
