Morocco's king appoints members of new gov't

Morocco's King Mohammed VI appointed on Wednesday the members of the new Islamist-led government.

At the Royal Palace in Rabat, the king received the new Prime Minister Saadeddine El Othmani and formerly approved list of his 39-member cabinet.

The ministries were divided between the six partnering parties in the governmental coalition depending on their results in the parliamentary elections last October.

The appointment of the new government ended a nearly six-month political deadlock. Endit
