Malta receives record number of tourists for February

Over 100,000 tourists visited Malta in February this year, a record high for this month, government authorities revealed on Monday.

February saw a nearly 28 percent of increase in tourist arrivals over the same month in 2016.

Total tourist expenditure was estimated at 69.9 million euros, an increase of 20.8 percent over the corresponding month in 2016.

Inbound tourist trips for the first two months of 2017 saw an increase of 25.4 percent over the same period in 2016.

Furthermore, total nights spent by inbound tourists went up by 13.9 percent. Endit
