German benchmark DAX index loses 55.67 points on Monday

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday dropped by 55.67 points, or 0.45 percent, closing at 12,257.20 points.

Financial services provider Deutsche Bank lost the most among the blue chip stocks, with a share price drop of 2.79 percent, followed by mass media company ProSiebenSat.1 and sportswear and equipment maker adidas by losing 1.46 percent and 1.37 percent respectively.

Deutsche Boerse, thyssenkrupp, and Linde were the top three winners on Monday, with share-price gains of 1.05 percent, 1.05 percent, and 0.77 percent respectively.

Deutsche Bank was the most traded share with a turnover of 316.79 million euros (about 337.72 million U.S. dollars). Endit
