Singapore stocks close 0.06 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 1.87 points, or 0.06 percent, to close at 3,175.11.

A total of 2.6 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.63 billion Singapore dollars (1.17 billion U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 255 to 226.

The STI index lost 11.33 points, or 0.36 percent, to close at 3,173.24 on Thursday. Endit
