Xinhua, March 3, 2017 Adjust font size:

The first Tunisian-German information center for employment, migration and reintegration was inaugurated on Friday in Tunis, as part of the official visit of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to Tunisia.

Funded by the German government, the center was inaugurated by the Minister of Professional Training and Employment Imed Hammami and the German Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Gerd Muller, as part of the "Migration for Development" program.

Local media reported that this center will provide Tunisian job seekers vocational opportunities abroad, especially in Germany, with all the information needed to successfully establish themselves.

Moreover, this Tunisian-German center helps and facilitates as well the reintegration of Tunisians who want to return from Germany and set up their own projects.

There have been professional training programs in companies in Germany for Tunisians in the fields of computer science, mechanics, communication and engineering.

In addition, 18 nurses will benefit from a two-year employment contract in the hospitals in Germany in 2017. Endit
