Burkina Faso gets ready to face water shortage during hot period

Xinhua, March 3, 2017 Adjust font size:

Burkina Faso's government has taken mitigation measures to address water shortage during the hot April-May period in the country.

These are notably the commissioning of 47 injection sites and an alternate water provision to vulnerable areas in the capital Ouagadougou every twelve hours, a governmental release issued on Thursday said.

Besides, the Burkina Faso authorities plan to drill 36 additional water wells equipped with hand pumps or solar powered pumps in neighborhoods. Endit
