German benchmark DAX index gains 18.64 points Monday

The benchmark DAX index at Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday raised by 18.64 points or 0.16 percent and closed at 11,822.67 points.

German sports manufacturer adidas gain the most by 3.88 percent, followed by E.ON and HeidelbergCement which added by 2.48 percent and 1.98 percent respectively.

The top three blue-chip losers are the trading marketplace Deutsche Boerse, automobile manufacturer Volkswagen and the steel giant thyssenkrupp, whose share dropped by 3.79 percent, 0.88 percent and 0.65 percent respectively.

Volkswagen was the most traded share of the day with a turnover of 207.16 million euros (219.32 million U.S. dollars). Endit
