Rocket from Gaza draws Israeli airstrikes

Israel's military spokesperson said the air force struck "targets" in the Gaza Strip after a rocket launched from the besieged Palestinian enclave hit southern Israel earlier on Monday.
The spokesperson said in a statement that Israeli aircraft carried out airstrikes in northern Gaza, targeting posts of Hamas, the militant organization that controls the Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media reported that the planes pounded an area in the refugee camp of Nuseirat.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
Overnight between Sunday and Monday, Gaza militant fired a rocket that landed in an open field in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council, causing no casualties.
Earlier February, Israel struck Gaza with air and artillery strikes, which injured three Palestinians, after a rocket was launched from Gaza. The rocket caused no injuries or damage. Endit
