-- Protesters against foreigners blocked several streets in Atteridgeville on Friday morning, preventing residents from going to work, Gauteng police said.

They also threw rocks and burned tyres, said spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini. (News24)

-- President Jacob Zuma said on Friday 2017 is the year of "taking land back to the people" and for this reason government will seek to change legislation to allow for land expropriation without compensation.
