Huang Qifan appointed vice chairman of NPC financial and economic affairs committee

Huang Qifan, former mayor of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, was appointed vice chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Financial and Economic Affairs Committee Friday.

The appointment was approved at a bimonthly session of the NPC Standing Committee that closed Friday.

Zhu Xiaodan, Yang Xiong and Liu Kun were also named vice chairmen of the committee.

Du Deyin was appointed vice chairman of the NPC's Ethnic Affairs Committee.

Huang Longyun was appointed vice chairman of the NPC's Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee. Endi
