Xinhua, February 24, 2017 Adjust font size:

The Chairman Mao Memorial Hall in Beijing issued a notice Friday that it would temporarily close for renovation.

The memorial hall administration said that the renovation would repair the building and its inner facilities from March 1 to August 31, during which the hall would be closed for safety reasons.

Construction of the memorial hall was completed in May 1977, and the hall opened to the public Sept. 9 the same year. It has received over 220 million visitors. Endi
