--South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit arrived in Addis Ababa Thursday afternoon on a three-day official visit to Ethiopia.

--Emergency Food Security Reserve Administration (EFSRA) of Ethiopia says it is distributing some 141,000 metric tonnes of food and non-food assistance to drought-hit areas around the country.
According to Misrak Mamo, EFSRA Director General, the Administration is transporting 141,000 metric tonnes of grain to the drought-affected areas from its warehouses in Adama, Shashemene, Wolaita Sodo, Shinle, Kombolcha, Woreta and Mekelle. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)
--An agro-processing industrial park is to be built at Yirgalem town, Sidama zone of the SNNP (southern) regional state, according to the state's industry parks development corporation.
