Spanish stock market falls 0.88 pct, closes at 9,477 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.88 percent on Wednesday to close at 9,477.20 points, down from the 9,561 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday's session, AENA shares led falls losing 2.94 percent, followed by Melia Hotels, Caixabank, Bankia, Banco Santander, and ArcelorMittal which fell 2.22 percent, 2.0 percent, 1.88 percent, 1.87 percent, and 1.70 percent respectively.

On the other hand, Bankinter shares led rises climbing 0.73 percent, followed by Amadeus, Enagas, Acciona and Abertis A that climbed 0.40 percent, 0.17 percent, 0.10 percent and 0.07 percent respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium increased from the 131 points of Tuesday to the 139 points of Wednesday by closing time and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate rose from 1.62 percent on Tuesday to 1.69 percent on Wednesday by closing time. Endit
