Laos seeks talents for women's U15 football squad

The Lao Football Federation (LFF) is looking for talented women players to join its national football team as the country sets to compete at the AFF U15 Girls' Championships 2017 to be hosted by Laos in May.

The LFF confirmed on Tuesday that the federation is ready and fully prepared to host the May tournament but has yet to decide on the final squad. And the federation plans to host a friendly tournament to select the most talented.

The tournament will run from Feb. 22 to March 3, reported Lao state-run media Vientiane Times.

The AFF U15 Girls' Championship of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) will also serve to develop Lao footballers at the junior level and some may go on to represent the nation at the senior level in the years ahead.

The Championship features Malaysia, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Thailand in Group A while Group B consists of the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Timor Leste and Indonesia. Endit
