The following are news items in Kenya's media outlets on Monday.

-- Almost half of Kenya's current legislators will not be re-elected in the August elections, according to a new poll. The situation is worse in ruling party Jubilee strongholds, where dissatisfaction among voters is at its highest. (Daily Nation)

-- A coalition agreement that will see the newly-formed National Super Alliance (NASA) take on ruling Jubilee in the August 8 polls as a united front is ready and would be signed anytime. NASA's coordinating team finalized the draft agreement Sunday, which is to be deposited at the Registrar of Political Parties and thus what remains is for the four co-principals to append their signatures on the document. -- Donors are cutting funding for HIV/Aids projects in Kenya due to the country's upgrade to a lower-middle-income status from least-developed country and reports of financial irregularities at the Ministry of Health. (Business Daily)

-- Cabinet Secretaries are expected to get a pay rise in July, a month to election and three years after President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered that they take a 10 percent cut. The pay rise comes as the government prepares to increase the wage bill, with more than 961 million U.S. dollars set aside for salary increments for civil servants in the coming financial year.
