Chinese shares close higher Monday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.18 percent at 3,239.96 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index closed 1.29 percent higher at 10,329.00 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.64 percent to close at 1,894.96 points. Endi
