Poll: Center Party regains position as Estonia's most popular

The Center Party regained its position as Estonia's most popular political party, boasting 27 percent voter support in February, a public opinion poll published Wednesday showed.
The Reform Party was second with 25 percent voter support and the Social Democratic Party (SDE) was third with 16 percent, according to the survey conducted by Kantar Emor for Baltic News Service and Postimees daily.
Estonia's Conservative People's Party (EKRE) was the fourth most popular party, supported by 13 percent of the surveyed voters in February, the Free Party was fifth with 10 percent and the Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica (IRL) was sixth with 7 percent voter support.
The Center Party rose to the top position in February as its popularity rating moved up 1 percentage point against December 2016, while the Social Democrats' rating slipped 3 percentage points.
The Reform Party, EKRE and the Free Party each saw their rating rise by 2 percentage points from the December poll, and the rating of IRL stayed unchanged.
Also, 50 percent of respondents in the poll voiced support for Estonia's incumbent government coalition comprising the Center Party, the Social Democratic Party and the Union of Pro Patria and Res Publica, down 2 percentage points from December.
Kantar Emor conducted the poll from Feb. 3 to 13, surveying 882 eligible voters aged 18 to 74. Enditem
