French shares gain

French stocks rose on Friday, with the benchmark Paris CAC 40 index up 0.65 percent, or 31.13 points, to close at 4,825.42 points.

More than half of the 40 selected large companies gained in the day.

Hotel operator Accor SA advanced 2.88 percent, becoming the biggest bluechip winner. Endit
