About 600,000 uninsured Albanians are expected to receive refundable medications, local media reported Friday citing Albanian Prime Minster Edi Rama as saying.
Since the beginning of this year, 600,000 Albanians will receive for free the drugs that are included in the list of reimbursable medications.
Rama said at a meeting that this group of Albanians are not covered by insurance and obviously the weakest and the most vulnerable part of society in this respect.
Considering the healthcare as a success of his government, the prime minister said that thanks to the reforms in the health sector, Albanians currently are enjoying better services.
Citizens are becoming more and more equal in terms of access to healthcare, Rama said, adding that the application of electronic prescription will start in spring. Endit
