Portugal detains man wanted by Germany to serve 10-year sentence

Portugal's Foreigners and Border Service (SEF) detained a foreign citizen, wanted by the German authorities to serve a 10-year sentence, at Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport on Wednesday.

The 45-year old man was traveling to Miami, and was being searched by the German authorities for committing fraud, according to a statement by the SEF.

The man was present at the Court of Appeal and then ordered to a prison establishment with the judicial police while he awaits extradition. Endit
