Luis Enrique enigmatic over his future ahead of Cup tie

Xinhua, January 26, 2017 Adjust font size:

FC Barcelona coach Luis Enrique was remaining enigmatic about his future as he faced the press on Wednesday.

The man, who has so far led the club to eight titles during two and a half years in charge at the Camp Nou, is out of contract at the end of the current season and appears to be in no rush to extend his deal.

"I don't have anything to say," he commented when asked about his future on the eve of Thursday's King's Cup semi-final at home to Real Sociedad, where his side defends a 1-0 lead from the first leg played in San Sebastian a week ago.

"This is my third year here and I see the same desire, same eagerness and will to want to keep making history and winning titles," he added, brushing away any questions that the players had lost their motivation.

"I see the same hunger and I would even say it is greater with every passing season," commented Luis Enrique, who also highlighted the club's desire to win the King's Cup for a third successive year. Endit
