Xinhua, January 25, 2017 Adjust font size:

Four Taliban fighters were killed and three others injured as clash erupted in Jarm district of Afghanistan's northern Badakhshan province Tuesday night, an army spokesman in the northern region Abdul Khalil said Wednesday.

The clash, according to the official, occurred after units of national army stormed a Taliban hideout and the insurgent resisted.

As a result, four militants were killed on the spot, and three others injured.

Taliban militants after suffering casualties fled the area, the official said.

Taliban militants who have been fighting in parts of Badakhshan province over the past few years, are yet to make comment. Endit
