Singapore stocks close 0.07 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Wednesday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 2.01 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 3,039.94.

A total of 1.89 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.33 billion Singapore dollars (937.15 million U.S. dollars).

Gainers outnumbered decliners 226 to 220, while 650 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 16.47 points, or 0.54 percent, to close at 3,041.95 on Tuesday. Enditem
