Singapore stocks close 0.48 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 14.4 points, or 0.48 percent, to close at 3,025.48.

A total of 2.12 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 973.6 million Singapore dollars (685.8 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 230 to 210, while 657 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 2.86 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 3,011.08 on Jan. 20. Endit
