British shares drop on Friday

British shares lost slightly on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE100 Index down 0.14 percent, or 10 points, to close at 7,198.44 points.

Shares of Smurfit Kappa Group increased by 5.87 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Capita, Antofagasta and BT Group gained by 2.39 percent, 2.01 percent, and 1.73 percent, respectively.

Royal Mail led the losers of the blue chips by plunging 7.88 percent. Endit
