-- More than 2 million Kenyans are on the brink of starvation and need relief food by the end of the month, the government said Thursday. Currently, some 1.5 million people in different parts of the country require urgent assistance.

The government says it will reduce relief food distribution by 50 percent in favor of cash transfers. Kenya is facing a food crisis following failed rains last year. (Daily Nation)
