Singapore stocks close 0.1 pct higher

Singapore stocks finished higher on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) up 2.86 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 3,011.08.

A total of 2.39 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 916 million Singapore dollars (641.59 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 218 to 182, while 694 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 8 points, or 0.27 percent, to close at 3,008.22 on Thursday. Endit
