The following are news highlights in major Kenyan media outlets on Wednesday.

-- A biting doctors' strike that entered its 45th day Wednesday is set to come to an end following talks between the government and the medical practitioners' union in Nairobi on Tuesday.

The agenda of the discussions that are ongoing include the contentious 2013 collective bargaining agreement that provides a salary increase as well as an address to the doctors' working conditions, internship, training and other labor issues. Doctors have insisted the agreement must be implemented if they are to call off their strike. (Daily Nation)

-- Kenya is set to reap higher royalties from the export of titanium following a doubling of the price of the mineral in the past seven months. (Business Daily)
