The third Russian Project 11356 Admiral Grigorovich class frigate "Admiral Makarov" has completed Shtil-1 missile system testing in the Baltic Sea, Russian news agency TASS reported on Monday.

"Admiral Makarov" was supposed to join the Russian Navy by the end of 2016, but sea trials were postponed due to weather conditions. The first two Project 11356 ships joined the Navy in March and June of 2016 separately.

The total of six Admiral Grigorovich class frigates were ordered by the Russian Navy for the Black Sea Fleet in 2010. The function of these ships are air defense, escorting of other warships and anti-submarine warfare. Endit
