The Council of ministers, presided by the head of State Faure Gnassingbé, has made this decision on Wednesday.

This occurs as the country is in search of 5 billion CFA Francs, about 8.11 million U.S. dollars, to wholly take in charge the national team for the continental football competition.

A report of the meeting disclosed that the council of ministers salutes and encourages financing mobilization committee to carry on efforts to gather necessary funds in support to The Hawks.

"The Council demands every government member to contribute financially to the national momentum of support to The Hawks", the release also said.
