Xinhua, January 13, 2017 Adjust font size:

Algeria and Guinea on Thursday vowed to boost bilateral security partnership, amid visit of Guinean minister for security and civil protection to Algiers.

Abdoul Kabele Camara, the Guinean security minister, said that his country wants to draw on experience of Algeria in the field of security after talks with Algerian Interior Minister Noureddine Bedoui.

He added that the talks assured Guinea support from Algeria in ongoing security related reforms.

"We have further discussed issues related to cooperation in training in all areas related to security," he said.

Camara also said, conveying a message from Guinean President Alpha Conde to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, that member nations of the Economic Community of West African States have endorsed him to chair the African Union.

Camara also held talks with speaker of the lower house of Algerian parliament, Mohamed Larbi Ould Khelifa, and Algeria's Foreign Minister Remtane Lamamra. Endit
