Ghanaian President Nana Akufo-Addo has hit the ground running as he presented here Thursday the first level of his government, five days after his investiture.
Akufo-Addo completed appointments of ministerial nominees, naming 11 more ministers-designate in the third batch of appointments.
This brings the total number of ministerial appointees to 36.
"The entire list has been submitted to parliament of Ghana waiting for approval," Akufo-Addo told the press at the Flagstaff House in Accra.
He said his government had come to deliver on the commitments it had made to Ghanaians, believing that the nominees were exactly the caliber of people to help the government to bring prosperity to Ghana.
"Our economy is in difficulty. It is therefore the time for all of us to put our shoulders to the wheel and work hard and have the appropriate policies in place that will be able for us to lift up our economy and bring relief to our population," he said.
The president, in his appointments, has created six new portfolios headed by ministers-designate.
