Albanian economy grows steadily: PM

The Albanian economy has entered a cycle of positive and stable growth, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama told reporters on Friday.

The Albanian economy is expected to expand by 3.3 to 3.5 percent in 2016, and by up to 5 percent next year, Rama said.

The growth rates represent the most significant outcome of government reforms over the past few years, he said.

Economic growth enabled the Albanian government to add an extra 100-million-U.S.-dollar fund to cover the pension and salary hike, he added. Endit
