British FTSE 100 rises 0.20 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.20 percent, or 14.18 points, to 7,120.26 points.

Share price of Randgold Resources increased by 4.82 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Fresnillo, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, United Utilities Group and Old Mutual increased by 4.62 percent, 1.92 percent, 1.51 percent and 1.39 percent respectively.

Ashtead Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.30 percent, following by Smiths Group (1.67 percent), Antofagasta (1.31 percent), Rolls-Royce Holdings (1.24 percent) and Lloyds Banking Group (1.21 percent). Endit
