Veteran Nepalese litterateur Dixit passes away

Veteran Nepalese litterateur Madan Mani Dixit passed away at his residence in the Capital city at the age of 87 on Thursday.

Dixit breathed his last at 2:45 am local time. He had been suffering from a respiratory disease for the past three months, local media reported quoting the Madan Puraskr Pustaklaya.

Dixit was considered as one of the crowns of Nepali literature, who authored and edited over six dozen literary books during his career.

Dixit was also the founding chairman of Madan Puraskr Pustaklaya, a popular library of books and periodicals in the Nepali language.

His final rites were performed at Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu earlier today. He is survived by two sons and one daughter. Endit
