Singapore stocks close 0.32 percent lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.15 points, or 0.32 percent, to close at 2,889.15.

A total of 1.23 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 564.9 million Singapore dollars (390 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 214 to 186, while 702 others finished unchanged.

The STI index gained 12.54 points, or 0.43 percent, to close at 2,898.30 on Wednesday. Endit
