British FTSE 100 rises 0.54 pct on Wednesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday rose by 0.54 percent, or 37.91 points, to 7,106.08 points.

Share price of Fresnillo increased by 5.22 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Randgold Resources, BHP Billiton, Anglo American and Mondi increased by 4.88 percent, 4.29 percent, 3.55 percent and 3.49 percent respectively.

Land Securities Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.90 percent, following by British Land Co (2.89 percent), International Consolidated Airlines Group (2.76 percent), Royal Bank of Scotland Group (2.51 percent) and easyJet (2.03 percent). Endit
