Increased presence of police officers on streets, in both uniforms and plainclothes, is among the measures.

It also vows special measures during the New Year and Christmas holidays.

"Additional security measures have been undertaken after terrorist attacks in Ankara and Berlin, while special measures will be introduced during the celebration of the upcoming New Year and Christmas holidays," says the release.
