Vlasic and Males out, Tudor and Ivanusec in for China Cup

Xinhua, December 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two days after he announced the list of 18 players that will represent Croatia at inaugural China Cup in Nanning on January 11-15, Croatian national head coach Ante Cacic had to make two changes.

Due to legitimate reasons talented 19-year-old midfielder Nikola Vlasic from Hajduk Split and 27-year-old Rijeka midfielder Mate Males canceled their participation at China Cup.

Ante Cacic decided to replace Vlasic with his teammate from Hajduk and Croatian U-21 national team 21-year-old Fran Tudor. Instead of Mate Males, Cacic recruited 18-year-old Luka Ivanusec, midfielder from Lokomotiva Zagreb who is a member of Croatia U-19 national team.

Croatian national team will fly to China on January 7 from Zagreb. In the first match of the tournament Croatia will play against Chile before facing the winners between China and Iceland in the final.
