Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.02 pct Thursday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.02 percent and closed at 4,834.63 points on Thursday.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed higher on Thursday, up 0.81 points, with 17 of the 40 selected companies experiencing increase.

The top three gainers were Technip, 1.73 percent, Total, up 1.25 percent, and Sanofi, up 1.17 percent.

The three companies of which the stock prices dropped the most were Nokia, down 5.10 percent, Vivendi, down 2.56 percent, and Arcelormittal, down 2.44 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 dropped by 0.33 percent to close at 4,833.82 points on Wednesday, down 16.07 points. Enditem
