More than 150 works of the famous marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky are presented at the artist's 200th anniversary exhibition in St. Petersburg, which opened in the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg on Thursday.

Local media reports that visitors came to see the exhibition 1.5 hours before the opening. This is a rare chance to see the largest collection of Aivazovsky's paintings. Aivazovsky's jubilee exhibition in Moscow was earlier visited by 600,000 people.

The exhibition will be closed on March 10. Endit
