China's national lottery helps Red Cross help 6,660 children

A total of 6,660 severely ill children, including more than 5,000 with leukemia, received support from the Chinese Red Cross Foundation (CRCF) in 2016, paid for by the national welfare lottery.

The national lottery channeled 200 million yuan (28.8 million U.S. dollars) to the CRCF to help severely ill children this year.

Over the years, the national welfare lottery has given 755 million yuan to fund the work of the CRCF, with more than 25,000 children benfitting. Endi
