The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome on Wednesday met with a delegation led by China Poly Group Chairman Yu Baodong to discuss the progress of the oil and gas project in Ethiopia.

The president assured the chairman Ethiopia's commitment to extending support to China Poly Group in its endeavor. "The basis of our cooperation is the excellent relationship of the two countries,'' he said. (Ethiopian News Agency/ENA)

The agency has completed the restoration of a 100-year-old Ottoman-era building in the Ethiopian city of Harar. The consulate building was built during the Ottoman era in 1912 in Harar city; however, the building neared collapse after years of neglect before the agency began a restoration project two years ago.
