Shanghai defeats Beijing 99-94 in tight game

Xinhua, December 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Shanghai defeated Beijing 99-94 in a see-saw game of the 17th round of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league action here on Wednesday.

In spite of 11 errors, Shanghai secured the domination to the end of the game thanks to Jimmer Fredette' s 38 points and 11 rebounds. It was a tug of war in the first three quarters that the teams rattled off multiple lead changes.

However, Stephon Marbury and Randolph Morris' 48 points did not help Beijing seize the opportunity to win the game in the last quarter.

Jilin, who defeated Aolong in the last round, ended their 3-game winning streak, losing to Guangsha 95-116 in the 17th round of CBA league action.

The three foreign aids of the visiting team, J.A. Brown, Mahdi Kamrani and Malcolm Thomas, only delivered 50 points in total.
