Xinhua, December 14, 2016 Adjust font size:

Slovakia is sending humanitarian aid to three hospitals in the Syrian city of Aleppo, the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry said Wednesday.

The total value of the humanitarian cargo exceeds 127,000 euro (134,000 U.S. dollars), it added.

"The largest part of the aid includes medical devices for anesthesiologists, mechanical ventilation, and assessing the vital functions of patients," noted the ministry.

Another part of the aid, amounting to more than 27,000 euros, consists of sleeping bags, towels, blankets and beds for hospitals.

Some aid has been provided by non-governmental organization Magna -- Children in Need, which will also deliver Slovak humanitarian aid to hospitals in Aleppo. Endit
