Prosecutors investigated three local officials

Three government officials are under investigation for corruption, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced Wednesday.

Wang Yifang, former deputy head of the financial and economic affairs committee of Hebei Provincial People's Congress, has been arrested for taking bribes.

Ma Zhenba, former general manager of Xiangtan Electric Manufacturing Group Co., Ltd., is being probed for taking bribes and has been placed under "coercive measures."

Yang Xuehong, former deputy director of the Sichuan provincial environmental protection department, is being investigated for taking bribes and abuse of power. Endi
