Two teenagers found dead in north Portugal

Xinhua, December 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two teenagers in Portugal, reported missing since Wednesday night, were found dead on Friday, the country's judicial police said.

The two girls, aged 13 and 14, were found in Vila Nova de Anco, Soure, around 190 km north of the capital Lisbon by police officers.

The teenagers were from Montemor-O-Velho, around 200 km north of Lisbon, and had left their district on Wednesday afternoon to go to neighboring city Coimbra.

They were expected to return that night by train but didn't, and were unreachable when their parents tried calling them.

According to the police, the young girls had been dead for 48 hours, meaning they died on the same day they went missing. Police have ruled out the possibility of a crime but are still waiting for results of the autopsies. Endit
